2026, the year of joy and whimsy
There is something about a new year that feels a little bit magical. A fresh slate, a deep breath, a quiet permission slip to try again, but also to try differently
Instead of going into 2026 with a long list of things to fix, improve or change, I want to do something else
I want to lead with joy
I want to choose whimsy
I want to enjoy the lighter side of life
So, I’ve decided 2026 is the year of joy and whimsy
Joy does not have to be loud or life-changing. Sometimes it’s simple, letting yourself enjoy things without overanalysing them
Whimsy is letting life feel less rigid. Saying yes to spontaneity and doing things simply because they’re fun
In 2026, I want to romanticise the ordinary again. Slow mornings, sunset walks, music that instantly lifts your mood, moments that remind you that life can be sweet even when it’s busy
This year is about releasing the pressure to have everything figured out. Letting go of the idea that every year needs to be a complete rework of life. Choosing enjoyment without guilt. Choosing presence over perfection
There is a version of you that already knows how to do this. Your playful side. Your curious side. The part of you that loves novelty, creativity and possibility. The part that is excited by what could be, rather than stressed by what “should” be
Let 2026 be the year you stop taking life quite so seriously. The year you allow yourself to have fun again. The year you remember that joy is not something you earn, it’s a natural state of being
Here is to a year that feels lighter, brighter, full of possibility
