As I’ve shared many times before, our thoughts become things. What we think about, we bring about. It’s not just a nice idea, it’s a truth backed by the way our brains and the universe work together. This is the law of attraction. This is the power of the mind

Which is why it’s so incredibly important to be mindful of what we choose to think about and speak about. The words we use, the stories we tell ourselves, and the way we narrate our lives… It all matters

One person who really cemented this idea for me is Peter Kell. He’s always saying, “Something amazing is about to happen.” The first time I heard that, it gave me goosebumps. It was such a simple phrase, but something about it just felt true. It felt like my soul was hearing something familiar and nostalgic. So I started saying it too. My Mum is actually the one who first told me about it and showed me videos of Peter Kell speaking about how it had changed his life. And now it’s become a little ritual in our home. We even write it on the chalkboard in our kitchen sometimes as a gentle reminder to ourselves. There is always potential for something amazing to be just around the corner, even if you're not expecting it

And you know what? It changes things. Not just because the words sound nice, but because of something called confirmation bias

Confirmation bias is a psychological phenomenon where your brain seeks out evidence to support what it already believes. So if you wake up believing the day will be stressful, you’ll notice every little thing that confirms that story. But if you start your day believing that something amazing is about to happen, your mind will naturally tune into the small joys, the beautiful surprises, the quiet magic that’s already around you

I once created an Instagram reel in my car after work, in a moment of simply wanting to share what I know to be true with others. I’ve since pinned it to the top of my grid because I still come back to it often, even now. It reminds me to pay attention to my mindset and how I’m choosing to speak to myself and about my life

The core message was this:

“Language matters. The words you choose to speak and think to yourself matter. If I said to you, ‘I have to do this thing today,’ it sounds boring, mundane, like something I don’t want to do. But if I said, ‘I get to do this thing today,’ it sounds exciting and empowering, even if the thing is ordinary. If I come from the perspective that this task is moving me toward the life I want to live, then it becomes meaningful. I don’t want to live from the energy of simply surviving life. I want to live from the belief that I get to choose how I experience it, and that it can be enjoyable, even magical”

This perspective has changed everything for me. I still have off days. I still get overwhelmed. But now I catch myself. I notice the tone of my inner dialogue. I soften it. I redirect it. And most importantly, I remind myself:

Something amazing is about to happen

It doesn’t mean every single moment will be extraordinary. But it does mean you’re open to possibility. And when you’re open, life has a funny way of showing up for you in ways you couldn’t have planned

So today, I invite you to tune into the way you're speaking to yourself. Pay attention to the language you’re using, especially when it comes to your life, your work, and your future

Are you enduring your days or embracing them?

Are you waiting for life to change, or are you changing the way you approach life?

Say it out loud. Write it down. Leave it on a sticky note or as your phone wallpaper.

SOMETHING AMAZING IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN!

And let yourself believe it, because once you do, you’ll start seeing it everywhere
